Program ‖Architecture and Civil Engineering
The specialty has two directions of civil architecture and management
of architecture and estate cases. Either direction has its own teaching
scheme and is taught according to modularized teaching system. (including
common courses, compulsory courses and elective courses.)
1 Introduction of civil engineering
This subject is supported by graduate schools of structure, rock,
and anti-catastrophe and specialty of civil architecture. Its courses
include limited monadism, elasticity theory, rock engineering, structure
dynamics, matrix way for structure analysis, credibility of engineering
system, earthquake-resistant engineering, large-scale steel structure,
theory of spatial steadiness, peg engineering, groundsill engineering,
software for civil architecture, and engineering test and measurement.
The graduates for recruitment should be staff of planning, designing,
construction and research in the relating departments of architecture
engineering, construction architecture, underground engineering, tunnel
engineering, road and bridge engineering.
2 Introduction of management of architecture and estate
cases
This subject is supported by the teaching resources and scientific
power of researching and management graduate school of shipping and
architecture department and the research center of management of architecture
and estate cases in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It borrows the
teaching experience of famous university of case management, aiming
at training talents in engineering construction field, who master
the theoretical and practical knowledge and have professional ethics
and high working quality and are developed according to international
situation and can take on task to be professional and specialized
businessmen that plan, assess, design, construct and end the management
work during the lifespan of a case. The courses of the subject includes
item management, management economy, item financing, development and
management of estate, investment and economy of estate, engineering
economy, risk management, item purchase management, laws about economy
and contracts, management of man resources and intercommunication,
assessment of item environment, cases of item management. The graduates
for recruitment should be managerial and technological staff the fields
of engineering construction and estate development.
