Program ‖Transportation Engineering
| The specialty was established in 1995, being the one of the key
subjects listed in 985 Projects. The specialty began to recruit masters
from 1998. Since then, the specialty has contributed a lot to the
research of planning and blue-printing of container transportation
in the Yangtze area, planning of Shanghai’s construction to be international
transportation centre, planning of logistics in the Yangtze Delta
and emulative productive system. The specialty takes on tasks of comprehensive
traffic and transportation planning. Currently, the specialty aims
to train high-level modern talents (transportation and international
shipping) of logistics for the country. It takes the opportunity of
the developing situation of modern logistics in the Yangtze Delta
and the Zhu Jiang Delta and trains talents that are fit for the accelerated
development of logistic engineering technologies at home and abroad
and the promotion of logistic management, and are practical and comprehensive
enough for managerial and planning department of enterprises. The
graduates are qualified posts of traffic and transportation planning,
logistic scheming and research. They can work in planning department
of government, management or research department of transportation
and logistics, enterprises of transportation and logistics. They can
also do management jobs, research tasks and teaching tasks in relating
universities and colleges. |
