Program ‖Flight Vehicle Design
The specialty was newly set up to meet demands of the development
of aerospace industry, and was given master's degree gift in 2000.
This specialty has abundant teachers, and its scientific findings
are remarkable. There is an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering,
nine professors and nine associate professors available in this department.
The main research directions of the specialty are flight vehicle dynamics
and control, design and application of flight vehicle aerodynamics,
design and application of flight vehicle structure, etc. There are
professional laboratories with considerable scale and good experimental
facilities here and there are computer rooms for the graduate students
to study and make research work. The specialty has obtained one national
award and nine provincial awards in recent years.
After graduate students graduate, they can be engaged in research
on flight vehicle’s overall and structural design, or in the technical
management and manufactory of flight vehicles, etc. They are suitable
for working in the scientific research institutions, enterprises and
institutions of high education.
I. Training Objectives
To cultivate outstanding talents with solid basic theory and systematical
specialized knowledge in modern flight vehicles, who also grasp a
foreign language and have a strong ability of using the computer technology
and modern experimental techniques. They can be engaged tentatively
in scientific research and engineering design which relate to the
flight vehicles, and can correlate relevant engineering problems and
make innovative research.

III. Length of Schooling and Credits
The full-time master degree candidates’ length of schooling is 2.
5 years. The total credits must get requested 32 credits at least;
among them the credits of degree lessons must get requested 19.

V. Middle Examinations
Master degree candidates are supposed to have an all-round exam
once a month in the fourth term to check whether their credits and
grades in course study meet demands, by which to determine whether
they can enter the stage of the academic dissertation. Its details
refer to the relevant regulations of the graduate institution.
VI. Opening Report
The opening report of master degree candidates should be finished
before the end of the third terms (at the latest the fourth term after
in months). The reading amount of documents is no less than fifty.
The opening report must be verified by experts of the specialty or
the relevant specialties.
VII. Academic Dissertation
The details of academic dissertation refer to the relevant regulations
of the university.
VIII. Thesis Publishing
