Cultivate overall developed talents-morally, intelligently, and
physically, to meet the construction requirement of economic, science,
technology and modernization of socialism. Provide specialized talents
to engage in all kinds of theoretical research of engineering targeted
dynamic or static mechanics, computer-aided analysis & optimization,
and applications & explorations of abroad & domestic engineering
software, and supply excellent students to cultivate senior mechanics
researchers.
Ⅲ. Main Requirements
1. Love socialism, support the leadership of Chinese communist party,
master the basic theories of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong thoughts
and Den Xiaoping theory, and server for our country and people.
2. Master solid fundamental theories of science and mechanics, and
be proficient at foreign language, experimental analysis, numerical
calculation, and applications & explorations of abroad &
domestic engineering software.
3. Have fine ideological & ethical standards, scientific quality,
cultural quality, engineering quality, and physiological & psychological
quality.
Ⅳ. Length of Schooling and Degree
Duration: four years
Degree awarded: B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering)
Ⅴ.Curriculum System
To improve students’ comprehensive ability and overall quality,
and to carry out large education and let outstanding students show
themselves, the curriculum system is made up of four modes.

Theory of Vibration, Elasticity, Principles of Static Testing and
Its Application in Engineering, Techniques of Dynamics Tast and
Analysis, Theory and Techniques of Fluid Field Measurement, Computational
Solid Mechanics and Programming, Computer-Aid Design of Dynamics
of Complex System, Computational Fluid Mechanics and Programming
Ⅷ. Industrial Practice Period
1. Six experimental courses: Physics Lab; Circuits and Electronics
Lab; Engineering Mechanics; Static Testing and Its Application in
Engineering; Techniques of Dynamics Testing and Analysis; Theory
and Techniques of Fluid Field Measurement. The courses of Theoretical
Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials, Fluid Mechanics and Machine Design
also contain experiments.
2. There are two weeks’ Military Training, four weeks’ Industrial
Practice and three weeks’ Engineering Internship.
3. Graduation dissertation (project) covers the whole year of the
fourth grade for 30 weeks.
4. The following nine courses and graduation dissertation (project)
contain computer operation. Introduction to Computer Technology,
Advanced Programming Language, Microcomputer Principles and Application,
Computational Solid Mechanics and Programming, Computational Fluid
Mechanics and Programming, Computer-Aid Design of Dynamics of Complex
System, Application of Engineering Software Package, Principle of
Database, Computer Network
5.Out Class Practicing Arrangement and Requirement
1. Open the Engineering Mechanics experiment center, and set five
free elective courses facing students of this department and the
whole university.
(1) Intelligent Test of Mechanics Property of Materials (18 hours
and 1 credit)
(2) Integrated Test of Engineering Structure’s Intensity and Rigidity
(36 hours and 2 credits)
(3) System Dynamic Character Test and Numerical Analysis (36 hours
and 2 credits)
(4) Testing Technique of Structural hologram and cloud veins (36
hours and 2 credits)
(5) Intelligent Testing Technique of Flow Field Transient (36 hours
and 2 credits)
2. Encourage active participation in Engineering Mechanics Association
(students), hold serial of lectures about Mechanics regularly, visit
relative projects, enterprises, and research institutes, and promote
out-class scientific activities.
All the above activities lay stress on participation, practicability,
integrity, creativity, and exploration, and are evaluated in the
form of study report, activity summary or scientific papers. Each
student is required to gain at least four credits. (each conformity
gains 2 credits)
Ⅷ. Education Schedule
Education Schedule of Engineering Mechanics (Engineering Analyzing
Technology and Software)
Explanations:
1、In each classification, the number of compulsory and elective courses
is decided by education program of each specialty. And the hours and
credits will be changed accordingly.
2、Course codes are accurately edited according to Course Code Editing
Introduction.
3、Course names must be both in Chinese and English.
Ⅸ. About Graduation
After gain 190 credits (141 class credits + 49 out-class credits),
students are eligible to graduate. Bachelor’s degree and Master’s
degree are conferred to undergraduate-master students, and Bachelor’s
degree is conferred to other students.
