1984年,上海交通大学长聘教轨副教授。在J. Mech. Phys. Solid等国际期刊发表SCI论文90余篇。其中,第一和通讯作者发表SCI论文60余篇;SCI论文他人引用1000余次。

主持国家自然科学基金2项(面上项目1项、青年项目1项)。科研成果得到德国科学院院士Martin Wegener、英国皇家科学院和英国皇家工程院两院院士Philip Withers,方岱宁、涂善东、冷劲松、张卫红、谢亿民院士等10多位国内外院士,以及冯西桥、卢天健、吴林志、郭旭、康国政等国内固体力学领域多位知名学者的大幅引用、积极评价。


基础研究:先进结构极端力学(极端服役环境、极端力学性能、极端时空效应)、增材制造工艺力学;实验力学。

(紧密结合国家重大需求:空天轻质多功能复合材料与结构的超常规力学性能设计、先进材料与结构的极端时空效应、极端服役环境下先进结构材料的力学性能评价)

技术开发与应用:基于人工智能、机器学习、大数据技术的先进复合结构力学设计、器件及装备应用;软体及智能机器人力学设计、功能实现及船舶海洋、航空航天、生物医疗应用。

《International Journal of Solid and Structures》等30余种SCI期刊审稿人。
