1990年毕业于中国科学技术大学近代力学系,获理学学士学位。1997年及2000年在中国科学技术大学力学和机械工程系固体力学专业获工学硕士和博士学位。2001年初到澳大利亚做短期访问研究,随后在美国内华达大学里诺分校从事博士后研究工作。2005年2月回国到上海交通大学船舶海洋与建筑工程学院工程力学系工作。
