为激发学生学习交流的积极性和创造性，促进国际间师生、院校友谊，推动国际化、复合型人才培养，将于2023年7月23日-8月5日在上海交通大学闵行校区举办“船海纵横”-2023年船舶海洋与力学国际暑期学校。本届暑期学校由上海交通大学主办，船舶海洋与建筑工程学院承办，将以国际化、前沿性、学科交叉为目标，联合国内外优质师资，为研究生和博士生学生提供国际化的交流平台和拓宽视野的机会。
本届国际暑期学校拟定邀请20位船舶与海洋工程、力学、土木领域知名专家学者（其中包括不少于10位海外专家学者）讲授学科最新研究进展、热点和发展方向，依托上海交通大学船舶海洋与建筑工程学院和海洋工程国家重点实验室，为国内外专家学者和学生提供交流和学习的优质平台。本届暑期学校具有以下三点特色：（1）国际化：教学活动邀请多名国外知名专家学者参与授课、指导，有来自多国的外籍学生参与暑期学校学习。（2）前沿性：讲座、授课和交流汇报，将重视将最新理论与实践认识相结合，涉及相关学科的最新研究方向和应用成果。（3）成熟化：举办方已多次举办国际暑期学校和国际学生交换学习项目，拥有丰富办学经验。
暑期学校以讲座、研讨会、工作坊、企业实践实习、文化风采展示、以及海报交流等方式促进国内外学生交流和学习。日程安排见附表1。暑期学校提供抵沪后餐食和住宿，交通费用自理。

“Ocean Dreams” - 2023 International Summer School
With the aim of kindling students‘ ardor and ingenuity in learning and communication, promoting international amity among educators and learners, and cultivating interdisciplinary talents with global vision, “Ocean Dreams” - 2023 International Summer School on Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering and Mechanics will be held in Minhang Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) from July 23rd to August 5th, 2023. The International Summer School is sponsored by SJTU and organized by the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean & Civil Engineering (NAOCE).
The Summer School is planning to extend invitations to 20 distinguished experts and scholars in the fields of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Mechanics, and Civil Engineering to deliver lectures on the latest advancements, research hotspots, and future directions in related disciplines. With the unwavering support of NAOCE as well as State Key Laboratory of Ocean Engineering of SJTU, this event promises to be a high-quality platform for academic exchange. The 3 major features of the Summer School: (1) Internationalization: A multitude of renowned professors hailing from universities around the world will partake in delivering lectures and providing guidance. Diverse students from various countries shall participate in the summer school’s educational program. (2) Frontier: Lectures, lessons, and reports encompass the latest research directions and applications. Emphasis is placed on introducing novel concepts, technologies, and methodologies while combining cutting-edge theories with practical insights. (3) Maturity: The NAOCE has successfully hosted numerous international summer schools and student exchange programs, amassing a wealth of experience.
This International Summer School aims to facilitate cross-cultural communication and foster mutual learning among domestic and international students through a diverse range of activities, including lectures, seminars, workshops, corporate training sessions, cultural showcases, as well as poster exhibitions. Please refer to Table 1 for further details. The summer school shall provide meals and accommodation upon arrival in Shanghai, while the expenses for transportation shall be borne by oneself.
1. Eligibility：Worldwide senior undergraduate (sophomore or above) and master or doctoral students in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Mechanics, Civil Engineering and related disciplines are invited to apply.
